Heat wave in Halifax
We're melting here. Our last day of cycling was in the melting heat. Sixty-seven kilometres from Upper Lakeville, where we tented lakeside for free, to our friend Dave's place in Halifax. We had to stop numerous times to glug down water, and twice to soak our heads to cool down. At Lake Echo, no chance of cooling ourselves down there -- the water was the temperature of a bath! But we made it in the end. Drenched in sweat and feeling scorched by the sun. Happy to be in Halifax in the heat.
